Comparative Assessment of Fatty Acids in Clams From Capo Peloro Lagoon (Sicily). [PDF]
Food Sci NutrThe total fat content and fatty acid profile were evaluated in three species of edible clam (R. decussatus, P. aureus and C. glaucum) from the Capo Peloro and Oliveri‐Tindari lagoons in Sicily, as well as in R. decussatus from two Sardinian lagoons. All species exhibited a high saturated fatty acid content, a good level of DHA, and high‐quality lipids.
