Polarized strangeness in the nucleon [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
A large violation of the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka rule was discovered in the annihilation of stopped antiprotons. The explanation of these experimental data is discussed in the framework of the model assumed that the nucleon strange sea quarks are polarized ...

Profectio Moysis in Aegyptum (1784): A “Fake” Neapolitan Oratorio?

open access: yesDe Musica Disserenda
One manuscript of an oratorio in I-Mc dating from 1784 is described, on its title page, as a pasticcio by “celebrated Neapolitan maestri”. I suggest that the source is actually a forgery and linked to three non-Neapolitan composers. The inference is that

Soft gluon resummation for the associated production of a top quark pair with a W boson at the LHC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We present our results on soft gluon resummation in the invariant mass threshold applied to the associated production of a top quark pair with a W boson at the LHC in the Mellin space formalism.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, 1 table, proceedings prepared ...

From Bug to Feature: Harnessing Cross‐Sensitivity for Multiparametric Luminescence Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cross‐sensitivity in luminescence sensing is reframed from a limitation into a resource for multiparametric detection. Using ruby microspheres as a model system, cross‐sensitivity is quantitatively assessed and exploited through linear discriminant analysis, enabling simultaneous, correction‐free pressure and temperature sensing with a single ...

Tin Oxide‐Anchored MXene Composites for Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution in Alkaline Media

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The schematic illustrates a SnO2/MXene heterostructure for efficient hydrogen evolution. SnO2 nanoparticles are uniformly anchored on conductive MXene nanosheets, enhancing charge transfer and catalytic activity. The MXene substrate provides high electrical conductivity and abundant active sites, while SnO2 facilitates water adsorption and dissociation.

The Geography of Success: A Spatial Analysis of Export Intensity in the Italian Wine Industry

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the paradox of how Italy's fragmented, SME‐dominated wine industry achieves global export success. Moving beyond purely firm‐centric explanations, we test whether export intensity is spatially dependent, clustering geographically in regional ecosystems.

Modular Electronic Microrobots With Onboard Sensor‐Program‐Steered Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Modular electronic smartlet microrobots integrate ambient‐light energy harvesting, photodetection, programmable CMOS control, and bubble‐based actuation within a sub‐millimeter fold‐up architecture. A 58‐bit on‐board CMOS chiplet enables sensor–program steered switching between independently addressable actuators, achieving closed‐loop 2D navigation in
