Anatomical Variations of Cerebral MR Venography: Is Gender Matter?

open access: yesNeurointervention, 2016
Purpose Knowledge of variations in the cerebral dural venous sinus anatomy seen on magnetic resonance (MR) venography is essential to avoid over-diagnosis of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST).

Clinical and Angiographic Imaging Features of Isolated Cortical Venous Thrombosis

open access: yesStroke: Vascular and Interventional Neurology, 2022
Background Cerebral venous thrombosis usually presents as dural sinus thrombosis. More rarely, it occurs in an isolated form (isolated cortical vein thrombosis; ICoVT).

Use of a funneled sheath for embolic protection during removal of thrombosed Simon Nitinol filters

open access: yesDiagnostic and Interventional Radiology, 2023
Inferior vena cava (IVC) filters should be removed when no longer needed, given their association with complications such as thrombosis of the IVC and lower extremities, fracture, migration, and growth into adjacent structures.

Persistent left superior vena cava: Review of the literature, clinical implications, and relevance of alterations in thoracic central venous anatomy as pertaining to the general principles of central venous access device placement and venography in cancer patients

open access: yesWorld Journal of Surgical Oncology, 2011
Persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC) represents the most common congenital venous anomaly of the thoracic systemic venous return, occurring in 0.3% to 0.5% of individuals in the general population, and in up to 12% of individuals with other ...

Isotope venography

open access: yesJournal of British Surgery, 1973
Abstract An isotope method of venography using 99mTc as pertechnetate (or MAA technetium) and a gamma camera is described. Initial results are encouraging. Good visualization of the major venous channels in the lower limbs and pelvis can easily be obtained.
