Effective Connectivity Predicts Surgical Outcomes in Temporal Lobe Epilepsy: A SEEG Study

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 31, Issue 8, August 2025.
This study confirmed the potential value of integrating the surgical resection area and effective connectivity characteristics in predicting patients' surgical outcomes, offering a novel approach that could be leveraged to precisely determine the surgical resection area and improve TLE patients' surgical prognosis.

Simultaneous Elimination of Left Atrial Posterior Wall Atrial Fibrillation and Creation of Mitral Isthmus Block by Ethanol Infusion in the Vein of Marshall [PDF]

open access: yesJ Arrhythm
Atrial fibrillation (AF) originating from the left atrial posterior wall recurred repeatedly, resulting in immediate recurrence of AF (IRAF). Ethanol infusion into the vein of Marshall (VOM) successfully terminated the AF and simultaneously achieved complete mitral isthmus block.

Cranial ultrasound in neonatal brain infections

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, Volume 67, Issue 8, Page 986-1003, August 2025.
Abstract Infection of the neonatal central nervous system (CNS) can cause irreversible brain damage. Cranial ultrasound is an important neuroimaging modality in the neonatal period for detecting brain injury. Several types of organism can cause neonatal CNS infection.

Disparity in stent sizing for iliac vein obstruction measured by intravascular ultrasound and venogram: A retrospective study at a single institution

open access: yesIndian Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
Introduction: Accurately assessing the location, degree of stenosis, and size requirements for stenting, as well as delineating the venous anatomy to identify optimal landing zones, are crucial elements for achieving successful outcomes in deep venous ...

Brain Slump Caused by Jugular Venous Stenoses Treated by Stenting: A Hypothesis to Link Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension

open access: yesJournal of Neurological Surgery Reports, 2015
Spontaneous intracranial hypotension, of which brain slump is an extreme expression, is caused by a cerebrospinal fluid leak. The reason the leak develops in the first place, however, is unknown, and some cases can be very difficult to manage.

Efficacy, Quality of Life, and Cost‐Effectiveness of Superselective Adrenal Arterial Embolization in Idiopathic Hyperaldosteronism: A Comparative Study

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Hypertension, Volume 27, Issue 8, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Idiopathic hyperaldosteronism (IHA) is the most common subtype of primary aldosteronism, typically managed with mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs). However, long‐term MRA therapy is associated with suboptimal cardiovascular outcomes and adverse effects.
