Heinz-Lippmann disease as an underrecognized cause of chronic venous insufficiency-associated cutaneous ulcers: Clinical and imaging findings

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2020
Venous insufficiency is a frequent cause of consultation in primary care settings. Heterotopic ossification, consisting of an abnormal formation of true bone in extraskeletal soft tissues, is an underrecognized complication of chronic venous ...

Mussel‐Inspired Molecular Strategies for Fabricating Functional Materials With Underwater Adhesion and Self‐Healing Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review systematically examines the nanomechanical mechanisms of mussel‐inspired molecular interactions, primarily investigated by direct force measurement techniques such as surface forces apparatus and atomic force microscopy. The macroscopic adhesive and self‐healing performances of mussel‐inspired functional materials, including coacervates ...

Ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy for severe chronic venous insufficiency

open access: yesRevista do Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões
Chronic venous insufficiency is characterized by cutaneous alterations caused by venous hypertension; in severe forms, it progresses to lower limb ulcers.

Artesunate Nanoplatform Targets the Serine–MAPK Axis in Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts to Reverse Photothermal Resistance in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The artesunate nanoplatform selectively targets ECM CAF, functioning as a GTPase inhibitor through disruption of intracellular serine homeostasis. This metabolic intervention effectively suppresses MAPK cascade activity, which consequently inhibits PTT‐induced CAF to ECM CAF differentiation.

Bioinspired Smart Nanogels for Rapid Blue Laser‐Activated Hemostasis in Gastrointestinal Bleeding

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Waxberry‐inspired branched‐silica nanogel can swiftly stop bleeding upon blue laser endoscopy for gastrointestinal hemostasis in the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum of mini‐pigs. Abstract Gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) is a critical condition that requires rapid and effective intervention.

Pristine Interface between Lithium Lanthanum Zirconate and Lithium Manganese Oxide by Pulsed Laser Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Careful control of processing parameters yields bilayer films of the garnet electrolyte Li7La3Zr2O12:Ta and the cathode spinel LiMn2O4 with pristine interfaces. No interdiffusion of elements occurs and no interfacial phase forms. Because fully lithiated LiMn2O4 has a voltage of ≈3.7 V versus Li+/Li, the observation of a well‐defined interface indicates

System analysis in optimizing the choice of treatment for patients with complicated forms of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities [PDF]

open access: yesСаратовский научно-медицинский журнал, 2011
Methods: to optimize treatment of patients with complicated forms of chronic venous insufficiency of our method was applied systems analysis, proposed by Th. Saaty (1993), and was called the «method of analysis of hierarchies».
