Microengineered Gradient Hydrogels for Mechanobiology
Gradient hydrogels are used to mimic the mechanical heterogeneity in native tissues, offering powerful in vitro platforms to study cell‐material interactions in diverse pathophysiological contexts. Here, we present a comprehensive review of the design and experimental considerations for stiffness gradient hydrogels, discussing exemplary achievements ...

Diffuse venous malformation with intraosseous involvement. [PDF]
A young boy with a large venous malformation of his left arm and hand was evaluated for Maffucci's syndrome. Initial hand films were remarkable for cystic bony lesions suggestive of enchondromas.

ABSTRACT In vitro arterial models offer ethical and robust alternatives for vascular research but require cytocompatible materials that replicate physiological mechanics. Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) hydrogels produced by directional freezing and salting‐out (PVA DFSO) are anisotropic yet lack stability for cell culture. Herein, methacrylated PVA (PVA‐MA)

Vascular malformations of the maxillofacial region are unusual, and they occur more rarely in bone than in soft tissue. Mandibular intraosseous vascular lesions represent 0.5-1.0% of all bone tumors, and they are classified as venous malformation ...

Orbital Lymphatic-Venous Malformation Accompanied by an Intraocular Vascular Malformation: A Rare Case Study [PDF]
Lymphatic-venous malformations (LVMs) are development defects that result in abnormal connections between the lymphatic and venous systems. The authors describe a 7-weeks-old female infant who presented with a right orbital LVM extending to the ...

Macroglossia due to venous malformation [PDF]
Massive vascular malformation involving tongue can cause significant functional impairment. In this report we describe a rare case of extensive venous malformation involving tongue leading to obstructive sleep apnoea, inability to speak, eat, severe discomfort due to exposure induced dryness and ulceration.
