CFD assessments within strongly transient domains [PDF]
Assessments based on CFD snapshots of stable conditions within strongly transient domains do not address many aspects of performance associated with occupant interventions, control actions or changing climate. Such domains (e.g.

A Theory of Leadership Meta‐Talk and the Talking‐Doing Gap
Abstract We identify managers' meta‐level talk about the positive purpose, meaning, and significance of their actions as an overlooked type of leadership behaviour and call it leadership meta‐talk. We outline why leadership meta‐talk is not necessarily truthful or deceptive, but selective and loosely coupled with leadership practice.

Controlled inlet airflow in ventilated facades: a numerical analysis
Abstract A research study was conducted to investigate the summer thermal performance of different ventilated façades, by means of experimentally validated numerical simulation. Three ventilated configurations were tested: L, with a lightweight external layer, IM and EM with a massive cladding respectively in the inner and outer side of ...

Thermal 3D CFD Simulation with Active Transparent Façade in Buildings [PDF]
In recent years active façades have acquired greater importance given their capacity to improve the energy efficiency of buildings. One such type is the so-called Active Transparent Façade (ATF). A 3D numerical model based on computational fluid dynamics
