Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Droplets Transmission Mechanism in a Commercial Wide-Body Aircraft Cabin
COVID-19 is a respiratory infectious disease that spreads readily between people, and an urgent issue of passengers’ exposure risk assessment in commercial aircraft has been raised because an aircraft cabin as a confined space may carry and transmit the ...

The vanishing threat: Stealthy malfunction of closed suction system
This case report presents a rare case of a mechanical ventilation leak that was initially missed by clinicians in a patient with a myxoedema coma. Despite all efforts to investigate the causes of the leak, including a bedside lung ultrasound and chest ...

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

High tidal volume ventilation is not deleterious in infant rats exposed to severe hemorrhage
BACKGROUND: Both high tidal volume (VT) ventilation and hemorrhage induce acute lung injury in adult rodents. It is not known whether injurious ventilation augments lung injury in infant rats exposed to severe hemorrhage.

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Impact of human–human virus transmission in an air-conditioned room with proper ventilation system
As we are probably aware of certain infectious diseases that transmit from body to body because of perspiration or respiration of air from a human being containing strains of the infection, the goal of this investigation is to see how the infection is ...
