Management of asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction
Asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction should be treated as an early stage on the continuum that is chronic heart failure. The author presents the clinical trial data on which current management with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and beta-blockers is based. Issues surrounding screening are also discussed.

Reinforcing Stromal Cell Spheroid Through Red‐Light Preconditioning for Advanced Vascularization
This study presents a novel approach to enhance stromal cell therapy for myocardial infarction by combining OLED‐based photobiomodulation (OPBM) preconditioning with 3D spheroid culture of hADSCs. The engineered spheroids improve angiogenesis, arterialization, and cardiac function in vivo, offering a next‐generation therapeutic strategy to overcome ...

The FGF13 level is significantly downregulated in premature aging murine hearts subject to D‐galactose and Doxorubicin. FGF13 overexpression and deficiency exacerbated and alleviated Doxorubicin/D‐galactose‐induced myocardial aging characteristics and functional impairment, respectively.

Using Anatomical Markers for Left Ventricular Segmentation of Long Axis Ultrasound Images [PDF]
Left ventricular segmentation is essential for measuring left ventricular function indices. Segmentation of one or several images requires an initial guess of the contour. It is hypothesized here that creating an initial guess by first detecting anatomical markers, would lead to correct detection of the endocardium.
