Right Ventricular Dysfunction Due to Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Patch

Asian Cardiovascular and Thoracic Annals, 2006
Doppler tissue imaging analysis was used to examine the relationship between right ventricular function and right ventricular outflow tract damage in 54 patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot. The patients were divided into three groups: 16 in whom the right ventricular outflow tract was directly sutured (group DS), 23 who had transventricular ...

Right ventricular dysfunction in septic patients

Critical Care Medicine, 1992
To compare right ventricular ejection fraction in trauma and septic patients during the hyperdynamic circulatory phase of these states.Prospective, consecutive study.University hospital ICU.Eleven trauma patients (group 1) and ten septic patients (group 2) were studied.

Right ventricular dysfunction in acute ventricular septal defect

American Heart Journal, 1981
Eight patients with acute ventricular septal defect (VSD) receiving early intra-aortic balloon augmentation, cardiac catheterization, and open-heart surgery are described. Because of the large shunts in this group of patients, there was visualization of the right ventricle during left ventriculography which was adequate for qualitative analysis.

Predominant right ventricular dysfunction after right ventricular destruction in the dog

The American Journal of Cardiology, 1974
Abstract Right and left ventricular function was assessed by observing the response to rapid blood volume expansion before and after extensive cauterization of the right ventricle in open chest dogs. In the control period, left ventricular end-diastolic pressure surpassed right ventricular end-diastolic pressure by an average of 11.5 mm Hg after ...

Right Ventricular Dysfunction in HIV

Journal of Cardiac Failure, 2012
a randomly selected Mediterranean population. Methods: We genotyped a well characterized random sample of the residents of Ventimiglia di Sicilia, a small town in Sicily. Results: Genotype frequencies of rs5068 were AA: 93.5%, AG: 6.4%, and GG: 0.1%. All subsequent analyses are AA vs AG+GG.

Right Ventricular Dysfunction in Sepsis

ICU Director, 2012
Current Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines inadequately address the limitations of central venous pressure monitoring, which are due, in part, to right and left ventricular dysfunction associated with sepsis. Septic cardiomyopathy is well described in the literature but is both underrecognized and undertreated clinically.

Right Ventricular Diastolic Dysfunction in Heart Failure

Circulation, 1996
Background Left ventricular (LV) diastolic dysfunction is common in heart failure and is an important predictor of prognosis and mortality. Less attention has been paid to right ventricular (RV) diastolic function. In this study, we compared RV diastolic function in a large cohort of patients with heart failure (HF) with two ...

Right Ventricular “Bubble Time” to Identify Patients With Right Ventricular Dysfunction

Annals of Emergency Medicine
We propose a novel method of evaluating right ventricular (RV) dysfunction in the emergency department (ED) using RV "bubble time"-the duration of time bubbles from a saline solution flush are visualized in the RV on echocardiography. The objective was to identify the optimal cutoff value for RV bubble time that differentiates patients with RV ...
