P-Mamba: Marrying Perona Malik Diffusion with Mamba for Efficient Pediatric Echocardiographic Left Ventricular Segmentation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
In pediatric cardiology, the accurate and immediate assessment of cardiac function through echocardiography is crucial since it can determine whether urgent intervention is required in many emergencies. However, echocardiography is characterized by ambiguity and heavy background noise interference, causing more difficulty in accurate segmentation ...

RACK7 Interacts with PRC2 Complex to Regulate Astrocyte Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study investigates the role of RACK7 in brain development using a conditional knockout mouse model. RACK7 deficiency results in developmental defects and abnormal astrocyte development by disrupting H3K27me3 chromatin binding. The underlying mechanism involves RACK7 interacting with the PRC2 complex to regulate the genomic localization of SUZ12 and

Elucidating the cellular determinants of the end-systolic pressure-volume relationship of the heart via computational modelling [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The left ventricular end-systolic pressure-volume relationship (ESPVr) is a key indicator of cardiac contractility. Despite its established importance, several studies suggested that the mechanical mode of contraction, such as isovolumetric or ejecting contractions, may affect the ESPVr, challenging the traditional notion of a single, consistent ...

Cardiomyocyte‐Enriched USP20 Ameliorates Pathological Cardiac Hypertrophy by Targeting STAT3 Deubiquitination

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cardiomyocyte‐enriched USP20 regulates the K63‐linked ubiquitination of STAT3, and the cardiomyocyte‐specific USP20‐STAT3‐CARM1 axis exerts a protective role in cardiac hypertrophy. Targeting USP20 through cardiac‐specific gene therapy presents a promising strategy for the treatment of cardiac hypertrophy.
