Isolated Right Ventricular Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Mimicking an Intramural Mass in a 13‐Year‐Old Male

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) primarily involves the left ventricle, with severe right ventricular hypertrophy or right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) obstruction being rare. Hypertrophic myocardium may mimic intramural masses, requiring imaging, intraoperative observation and pathological examination for diagnosis.

Integrative Evidence From Metabolome‐Wide Mendelian Randomization and Animal Models Implicates Tyrosine in Cardiac Hypercontractility and Arrhythmia Risk

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Plasma metabolome‐wide Mendelian randomization analysis established a causal link between tyrosine and arrhythmia. GWAS meta‐analysis identified tyrosine‐associated loci linked to cardiovascular risk factors. Animal studies confirmed that oral tyrosine intake modulates heart rhythm via adrenergic signaling activation.

Ultrasound‐Based Z Score and Pulmonary Valve/Aortic Valve Diameter Ratio Improving the Predictive Value of Fetal Aortic Stenosis

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, Volume 54, Issue 1, Page 64-72, January 2026.
A total of 24 singleton fetuses with suspected AS who underwent two or more fetal echocardiograms were enrolled in this study. Using electronic spatiotemporal image correlation (eSTIC) technology, the AV and PV Z scores, along with the PV/AV ratio, were measured and compared between two echocardiographic examinations to assess diagnostic efficacy ...

4D Flow MRI Velocity and Turbulence Mapping in Mild Valvular Heart Disease

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 63, Issue 1, Page 222-232, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Valvular heart disease (VHD) commonly leads to the development of turbulent blood flow. Turbulent kinetic energy (TKE), measured with 4D flow MRI, may be a complement to current metrics for early identification of VHD. Purpose To investigate TKE as a marker of VHD in relation to flow velocity and cardiovascular geometry.
