Same morphology of ventricular premature complexes triggering repeated ventricular fibrillation
Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology, 2010Episodes ventricular fibrillation (VF) initiated by ventricular premature complexes (VPCs) of a single morphology have been reported. However, the characteristics of the VPCs over long periods of time are unknown. To compare the morphologies and coupling intervals of VPCs that initiate episodes of VF that occur at different time periods. The database of ...

Relation between premature ventricular complexes and development of ventricular tachycardia
The American Journal of Cardiology, 1973Continuous cardiac monitoring has been an integral part of the concept of the coronary care unit during the past decade, permitting physicians to observe the relation between premature ventricular complexes and the occurrence of ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation.

The timing of ventricular premature complexes initiating chronic ventricular tachycardia
Journal of Electrocardiology, 1984Prematurity index (PI), defined as the ratio of the coupling to QT intervals of isolated ventricular premature complexes (VPC) and those initiating ventricular tachycardia (VT) on 24-hour ambulatory ECG recording, was examined in 496 episodes of VT occurring in 122 patients.

Management of premature ventricular complexes.
Missouri medicine, 2010Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) are frequently encountered, and management is determined by symptoms, precipitating factors, and the presence of underlying cardiac disease. No treatment is indicated in patients with asymptomatic PVCs in absence of cardiac disease.

[Premature ventricular complexes: what to do?]
Revue medicale suisse, 2023Premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) are frequently encountered arrhythmias in the general population. They can occur in the context of an underlying structural heart disease (SHD) of ischemic, hypertensive or inflammatory cause and therefore be a prognostic factor.

Premature Ventricular Complexes from Pulmonary Artery
2020Activation and pacemapping in the pulmonary artery (PA) should be considered if the PVC morphology suggests the RVOT as the site of origin. Partial success or unsuccessful ablation for PVC, which appear to be originating from RVOT, could be secondary to its origin from PA instead of RVOT.

Premature Ventricular Complexes and Nonsustained Ventricular Tachycardia in Cardiac Sarcoidosis
JACC: Clinical ElectrophysiologyThe prevalence and prognostic significance of frequent premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) and nonsustained ventricular tachycardia (NSVT) in cardiac sarcoidosis (CS), especially in patients with normal or mildly decreased left ventricular function, have not been studied. This study sought to investigate the prognostic value of PVCs and NSVT in ...
