The Endothelial CXCR Family in Vascular Health and Disease
ABSTRACT Endothelial cells (ECs) form the dynamic interface between blood and tissue, serving as key regulators of vascular homeostasis, inflammation, and repair. Among the molecular systems governing endothelial behavior, the C‐X‐C motif chemokine receptor (CXCR) family—originally characterized in immunology for its roles in leukocyte trafficking and ...

The expert assessment of fetal anatomy before 14 weeks is feasible when adopting a standardized protocol and allows an early diagnosis in most cases at risk for fetal anomaly following first trimester screening ultrasound. ABSTRACT Background To report the implementation across Fetal Medicine units and the agreement between first and second trimester ...

ABSTRACT Background Ebstein's anomaly (EA) is a congenital heart disorder involving tricuspid valve dysplasia and right heart abnormalities resulting in severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR). Multiple techniques assess regurgitation severity, but their correlation with EA severity markers remains unclear. Purpose To compare MRI techniques for quantifying

Abstract This is the first report of endoscopic ischemic polypectomy (EIP) for small intestinal polyps in a pediatric patient with juvenile polyposis syndrome (JPS). A 7‐year‐old girl underwent double‐balloon enteroscopy, during which 17 pedunculated polyps were treated using the crossed‐clip strangulation method without complications. Ten‐month follow‐

Feasibility of Imaging the Uvula at the Midtrimester Anomaly Ultrasound
Objectives The fetal palate is not routinely imaged as part of the midtrimester fetal anomaly ultrasound, despite being associated with many syndromes. The “equal sign” depicts the lateral borders of the uvula on 2‐dimensional fetal ultrasound. We assessed the feasibility of adding the equal sign to the midtrimester fetal anomaly ultrasound.

Recurrent lung nodules as a presentation of ventricular septal defect‐related endocarditis
Infective endocarditis is an uncommon microbial infection of the endocardial surface of the heart. Patients with structural heart disease, such as a ventricular septal defect, are at higher risk for infective endocarditis and clinicians must have a high ...
