Long‐term prognosis of pure and impure tachycardiomyopathy

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and aims Tachycardia‐induced cardiomyopathy (TCM) is a reversible form of heart failure (HF) driven by arrhythmias, often atrial fibrillation (AF). While reversible, TCM's long‐term prognosis remains unclear, especially in comparison to HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).

Novel Compound Heterozygous Variants in Trans-2,3-Enoyl-Coenzyme A Reductase-Like Gene Associated With Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia

open access: yesJACC: Case Reports
A 10-year-old female patient experienced syncope while swimming, and electrocardiography revealed polymorphic ventricular tachycardia, leading to a diagnosis of catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia.

Prediction and prognostic role of left ventricular systolic dysfunction in family screening for dilated cardiomyopathy and non‐dilated left ventricular cardiomyopathy

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Heart Failure, EarlyView.
Aims The prognostic significance of detecting left ventricular (LV) systolic dysfunction during family screening programmes (FSPs) in relatives of probands affected by dilated (DCM) and non‐dilated left ventricular (NDLVC) cardiomyopathies remain unclear.

Polymorphic ventricular tachycardia and cardiac arrest from abiraterone-induced hypokalemia: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports
Background Polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (PMVT) is an unstable and often fatal cardiac tachyarrhythmia. While there are many causes of this rhythm, including electrolyte imbalances, ischemia, and genetic disorders, iatrogenic etiologies are ...

Postexertional Supraventricular Tachycardia in Children with Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia

open access: yesCase Reports in Cardiology, 2012
Catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) is a severe arrhythmia associated with sudden death in the young. It is caused by defective calcium handling in ventricular myocytes.

Monomorphic ventricular tachycardia during the ajmaline test

open access: yesTürk Kardiyoloji Derneği Arşivi, 2013
A 44-year-old male patient admitted with palpitations was diagnosed with tachycardia with wide QRS, but recovered after being treated with amiodarone. The patient's coronary angiography was normal. As the patient's resting ECG was compatible with Brugada

Integrated role of cardiac magnetic resonance and genetics in predicting left ventricular reverse remodelling in dilated and non‐dilated cardiomyopathy

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Heart Failure, EarlyView.
An integrated approach including late gadolinium enhancement data and genetics to predict left ventricular reverse remodelling in patients with dilated and non‐dilated left ventricular cardiomyopathy. DSP, desmoplakin; FLNC, filamin C; LMNA, lamin A/C; LVRR, left ventricular reverse remodelling; LGE, late gadolinium enhancement; MVA, major ventricular ...

Idiopathic Ventricular Tachycardia Arising From the Right Ventricular Apex

open access: yesIndian Pacing and Electrophysiology Journal, 2013
We present a rare case of idiopathic ventricular tachycardia arising from the right ventricular apex. The electrocardiographic and electrophysiological characteristics of this tachycardia are discussed.
