ABSTRACT Background Delirium is a frequent complication in comatose Out‐of‐Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) survivors requiring postresuscitation intensive care and is associated with higher mortality and longer hospitalization. Despite this, there is no established pharmacologic strategy for delirium prevention in OHCA survivors.

ABSTRACT Transvalvular device leads are undesirable following tricuspid valve replacement. Simultaneous lead extraction and intra‐operative EV‐ICD implantation can provide ongoing defibrillator therapy without crossing the prosthetic valve and may avoid the need for additional pacing hardware when atrioventricular conduction is preserved.
