Verb Second in Embedded Clauses
1995Abstract In the previous chapter on V2, only main clauses were discussed; in this chapter I turn to V2 in embedded clauses. Below we see first that across the Germanic languages V2 may be found not only in embedded clauses without a complementiser but also in embedded clauses introduced by a complementiser.
