Spanish validation of short‐form version of Literacy of Suicide Scale (LOSS) and Stigma of Suicide Scale (SOSS)

Evidence shows that an increased understanding of mental health and suicide myths is related to a reduction of suicide problems. Therefore, validating the Suicide Awareness Scale ‐ Short Form (LOSS‐SF) and the Suicide Stigma Scale ‐ Short Form (SOSS‐SF) is of utmost necessity to have a tool available to detect such cases.

Beyond the dead zone: The meanings of loving violence in Highland Mexico

Abstract When violence clearly conveys a message and produces order, it simplifies meaning. Worded differently, it creates a “dead zone” (Graeber 2012). This article argues that intense, passionate love, like intense, physical violence, drastically diminishes meaning and enhances the potential for harm.
