In FY 2024, federal COVID-19 relief funds ended. Vermont increased its efforts to bolster special education, CTE, and rural education resources. Vermont continues its efforts to reduce tax burdens on vulnerable Vermonters with funding formula and pupil weight adjustments while proposing budget increases for FY 2025.

The authors of this paper were invited to attend a conference on ‘Ancient Vermont’ held at Castleton in Vermont in October 1977, and to examine and comment upon the ‘evidence’ for the extensive occupation of New England by Celts and others in the first or second millennium BC as propounded by Professor L. B. Fell of Harvard University.

The occurrence of an isolated case of white piedra in Vermont seems worthy of note in view of the reported rarity of the condition in the United States. In 1951 Scott 1 reported a similar case from New York, and Burdick 2 has recently reported two more cases from New York.
