Ovarian Matrisome Dynamics and αvβ3‐Mediated Regulation in Early Follicular Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The matrisome undergoes dynamic remodeling during early follicular development. Integrin αvβ3 mediates matrisome signals, regulating primordial follicle activation/atresia and secondary follicle growth via Hippo/mTOR pathways, with conserved roles in human ovaries, offering therapeutic targets for ovarian disorders.

PD‐1 Inhibits CD4+ TRM‐Mediated cDC1 Mobilization via Suppressing JAML in Human NSCLC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CD4+ tissue‐resident memory T cells (TRMs) in non‐small cell lung cancer recruit conventional type 1 dendritic cells via XCL1‐XCR1 signaling, orchestrating antitumor immunity. The costimulatory molecule JAML is essential for this process. PD‐1 blockade restores JAML expression and cDC1 mobilization, while JAML agonists synergize with anti‐PD‐1 therapy,

QBP1 Peptide as a Potential Anti‐Amyloidogenic Therapy for Type 2 Diabetes: An In Vitro Study

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The anti‐amyloidogenic peptide QBP1 effectively halts human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP) aggregation, preventing the formation of toxic β‐structured intermediates. Through a combination of biophysical assays, molecular dynamics, and cell‐based studies, QBP1 is shown to preserve β‐cell viability and metabolic homeostasis, positioning it as a ...

Anti‐PD‐1 Nanobody‐Armored MSLN CAR‐T Therapy for Malignant Mesothelioma: Preclinical and Clinical Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel therapy using engineered immune cells (NAC‐T cells) showed promise for refractory malignant mesothelioma. Based on the encouraging preclinical data, the first‐in‐human trial is initiated, demonstrating tolerable safety and promising anti‐tumor activity (ORR 63.6%, DCR 100%, including one CR).

A Bifunctional T3SS‐Effector Simultaneously Cleaves Host MAP Kinase and Inhibits PPM1A Phosphatase

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pathogenic bacteria exploit the metalloprotease effector NleD to subvert host defenses. Structural, biochemical, and infection analyses reveal a bifunctional mechanism by which NleD binds and inhibits the host phosphatase PPM1A while preserving its proteolytic activity against MAPKs.

Targeting UXS1‐Dependent Glucuronate Detoxification Potentiates Metformin's Anti‐Tumor Efficacy in Lung Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that metformin promotes glucuronic acid metabolism in lung adenocarcinoma by activating UGDH S476 phosphorylation and enhancing the conversion of UDPG to UDPGA based on metabolomics analysis. Through compound virtual screening, it is found that plantainoside targeting UGDH downstream UXS1 leads to UDPGA toxicity accumulation ...

Fetal Femur Fracture and External Cephalic Version

Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2004
Femoral fractures due to birth trauma are extremely rare. External cephalic version is considered a relatively safe alternative when dealing with breech presentation, but it can be associated with complications. This patient underwent elective cephalic version for breech presentation at 36 weeks of gestation.

Effect of external cephalic version at term on fetal circulation

American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 2000
We sought to investigate the subclinical effect of external cephalic version on fetal circulation.A prospective observational study was conducted on 136 subjects who had external cephalic version at or beyond 36 weeks of gestation without clinical complication.

Internal podalic version for neglected shoulder presentation with fetal demise

BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, 2009
In modern obstetrics, the role of internal podalic version (IPV) is limited to delivery of the second twin. A retrospective study was conducted to assess the efficacy of IPV in singleton neglected shoulder presentation with fetal demise. Women with live fetuses, previous CS or contracted pelvis were excluded.

Reliability and validity of the German version of the Maternal–Fetal Attachment Scale

Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics, 2018
In understanding early disturbances in the mother-child relationship, maternal-fetal attachment has become an important concept. To date no study has investigated the reliability and validity of the German version of the Maternal Fetal Attachment Scale (MFAS).
