During the routine dissection in our department in 2007- 2008, we observed that the vertebral artery, after branching from the subclavian artery, run towards the skull base and entered thetransvers foramen of the C2 vertebra.

Anatomy of spinal CSF loss in the American alligator (Alligator mississippiensis)

India ink introduced into the cranial cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) compartment of Alligator diffuses along the spinal cord and exits the spinal compartment using perineural flow, resulting in a prominent “ink cuff” forming at the base of the spinal nerve. In Alligator, the region of the ink cuff is drained by a small lymphatic vessel.

Percutaneous Vertebroplasty for Painful Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures: A Retrospective Comparative Study of a Negative Pressure‐Guided Technique

In 60 patients with vertebral compression fractures, negative‐pressure‐guided vertebroplasty (NPVP) promoted more uniform cement distribution and reduced cement leakage compared with conventional PVP, resulting in greater perioperative safety and improved radiographic and clinical outcomes at 3 months.
