Collateralization of vertebral arteries [PDF]

open access: yesNeurology, 2003
A 60-year-old man with a history of smoking, hypertension, and dyslipidemia had recurrent vertebro-basilar TIA. He was treated with aspirin. Results on T2- and diffusion-weighted MRI were normal. Perfusion-weighted imaging showed hypoperfusion in the vertebro-basilar territory.

Lack of Association Between Total Serum Homocysteine and Extracranial Cerebral Flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Background/PurposeHigh homocysteine (Hcy) concentration is associated with slow coronary flow. This study examined the association between Hcy and hemodynamic status in the extracranial cerebral arteries in healthy individuals.MethodsA total of 535 ...

Coronary Artery Semantic Labeling using Edge Attention Graph Matching Network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Coronary artery disease (CAD) is one of the primary causes leading deaths worldwide. The presence of atherosclerotic lesions in coronary arteries is the underlying pathophysiological basis of CAD, and accurate extraction of individual arterial branches using invasive coronary angiography (ICA) is crucial for stenosis detection and CAD diagnosis.

Vertebral Artery Dissection [PDF]

open access: yesAcademic Emergency Medicine, 1997
ABSTRACTVertebral artery dissections (VADs) following a variety of minor traumatic mechanisms have been previously reported. This article reports 2 cases of VAD with delayed recognition following motor vehicle collisions (MVCs). The first VAD patient developed major neurologic abnormalities 28 hours after an MVC. The second VAD patient presented with 3
