Occlusion of an Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt With an Amplatzer Septal Occluder Device in a Dog
This is the first description, to the authors’ knowledge, of the use of an Amplatzer occluder device for a large intrahepatic shunt. In this case, shunt attenuation was successful with no major complications. Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures
In Chapter 1, an outline of the thesis is given. In Chapter 2 we concluded that most conservatively treated patients with VCFs had sufficient pain relief during the first 3 months. After one year a substantial proportion of patients still had disabling pain despite higher class pain medication used.
