Lipid Nanoparticles for the Delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 Machinery to Enable Site‐Specific Integration of CFTR and Mutation‐Agnostic Disease Rescue

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are optimized to co‐deliver Cas9‐encoding messenger RNA (mRNA), a single guide RNA (sgRNA) targeting the endogenous cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, and homologous linear double‐stranded donor DNA (ldsDNA) templates encoding CFTR.

A Matrix Approach to Hypergraph Stable Set and Coloring Problems with Its Application to Storing Problem

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
This paper considers the stable set and coloring problems of hypergraphs and presents several new results and algorithms using the semitensor product of matrices. By the definitions of an incidence matrix of a hypergraph and characteristic logical vector

On‐Surface Indigo‐Based Bimolecular Coordination Networks with Programmable Regular or Vitreous Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A previously unreported coordination motif stabilising single Fe atoms by indigo chelation and pyridyl coordination on Au(111) has been revealed. By using planar tritopic pyridyl linkers (TPyB), extended 2D porous networks of indigo3(TPyB)2Fe6 form. These networks can be crystalline or vitreous and offer an environment where individual coordination ...

From Single Atoms to Nanoparticles: Pathways Toward Efficient and Durable Pt/TiO2 Photocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Platinum single atoms on TiO2 nanosheets evolve into clusters and nanoparticles under ethanol photoreforming and thermal treatments. By controlling deposition and post‐treatments, particle size and location on specific facets are modulated. The study reveals how stability pathways determine efficiency, guiding the design of more durable photocatalysts.

Plane partition realization of (web of) W $$ \mathcal{W} $$ -algebra minimal models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Recently, Gaiotto and Rapčák (GR) proposed a new family of the vertex operator algebra (VOA) as the symmetry appearing at an intersection of five-branes to which they refer as Y algebra.

On the D(–1)/D7-brane systems

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We study non-perturbative effects in supersymmetric U(N) gauge theories in eight dimensions realized by means of D(–1)/D7-brane systems with non-trivial world-volume fluxes turned on. Using an explicit string construction in terms of vertex operators, we

From Aztec diamonds to pyramids: steep tilings

open access: yes, 2017
We introduce a family of domino tilings that includes tilings of the Aztec diamond and pyramid partitions as special cases. These tilings live in a strip of $\mathbb{Z}^2$ of the form $1 \leq x-y \leq 2\ell$ for some integer $\ell \geq 1$, and are ...

Vertex partitioning and p-energy of graphs

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications
For a Hermitian matrix $A$ of order $n$ with eigenvalues $λ_1(A)\ge \cdots\ge λ_n(A)$, define \[ \mathcal{E}_p^+(A)=\sum_{λ_i > 0} λ_i^p(A), \quad \mathcal{E}_p^-(A)=\sum_{λ_i<0} |λ_i(A)|^p,\] to be the positive and the negative $p$-energy of $A$, respectively.

Digital Actuation Control of Soft Robotic Origami With Self‐Folding Liquid Crystal Elastomer Hinges

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐folding soft‐rigid hybrid robotic origami is enabled by liquid crystal elastomer actuators with embedded Joule heating and closed‐loop digital control. Digitally addressable hinges provide reversible and programmable transitions between distinct folded states while maintaining actuation performance at high cycle counts (over 1500).

Standard Framework for Comparison of Graph Partitioning Techniques

open access: yesJISR on Computing, 2015
Graph Partitioning is used to distribute graph partitions across nodes for processing. It is very important in the pre-processing step for distributed graph processing.
