Airport pavement roughness evaluation based on cockpit and center of gravity vertical accelerations
Rough pavements are generally responsible for vertical accelerations (VA) that can affect the aircraft, increase stopping distance and difficult to read the cockpit instrumentation.

Methodology to Quantify Vertical Accelerations of Planing Craft in Irregular Waves
Planing craft operating in waves at high speeds can experience high, repetitive vertical accelerations that are random and nonlinear in relation to the sea condition.

This work describes a new testing system for applying a coupled/uncoupled bendingtorsion loading in vibratory tests by a tri-axis shaker. The system is composed of a cylindrical specimen with eccentric tip masses, excited by horizontal and/or vertical ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic limb‐threatening ischemia (CLTI) is a severe form of lower‐extremity artery disease characterized by distal lesions and microcirculatory impairment, limiting revascularization efficacy. Rheocarna is a direct hemoperfusion low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) adsorption device with potential rheological and anti‐inflammatory ...

This study addresses the issue of vertical-pitch dynamic coupling in active suspension systems caused by traditional velocity-feedback control. We introduce a novel ADF-PID control strategy that combines acceleration difference feedback (ADF) decoupling ...

Acceleration Amplitude of the Vertical Component of Colombian Earthquakes
Past studies have demonstrated that the vertical earthquake component can substantially affect the seismic performance of bridges and buildings. This component is typically ignored or, when included in the design, is estimated as two-thirds of the horizontal seismic design earthquake.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
