[Determination of the vertical dimension of occlusion].

Determining vertical dimension of occlusion and centric relation
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1970Abstract Anthropometric methods for determining the vertical dimension of occlusion and the functional-reflex method for determining centric relation have been described. The techniques are easy to handle, do not require special instruments, and can be used by any dentist after several trials with the first patient.

Cephalometric analysis of the vertical dimension of occlusion
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1961Abstract Three commonly used techniques to establish the vertical dimension of occlusion were tested. Cephalometric roentgenography was used to record and evaluate their comparative accuracy. A number of dentists participated in the clinical phase of the investigation to obtain as unbiased a pattern as possible and to be a check upon each other.

[Determination of vertical dimension of dental occlusion].
Nederlands tijdschrift voor tandheelkunde, 2002Principles and concepts in determining the vertical dimension of occlusion in mutilated dentitions are summarized.
