Vertical ionization potential of the CF2 radical

Chemical Physics Letters, 1975
The CF2 radical was generated in an equilibrium effusion cell by the reaction of gaseous SF6 with carbon at 1550 K. From electron impact threshold measurements, the vertical IP of CF2 was found to be 11.54 ± 0.10 eV. This value is lower than previous electron impact results, but it is consistent with data obtained from dissociative photoionization ...

A theoretical study of the adiabatic and vertical ionization potentials of water

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2018
Theoretical predictions of the three lowest adiabatic and vertical ionization potentials of water were obtained from the Feller-Peterson-Dixon approach. This approach combines multiple levels of coupled cluster theory with basis sets as large as aug-cc-pV8Z in some cases and various corrections up to and including full configuration interaction theory.

The diurnal vertical dynamics of Cape hake and their potential prey

South African Journal of Marine Science, 1998
The Cape hakes Merluccius capensis and M. paradoxus are dominant predators over the Namibian shelf. They are found in a water column that includes myctophids and other mesopelagic fish, euphausiids andcephalopods. Together with their cohabitant potential prey, hake are known to undertake diurnal vertical migrations, aggregating near the bottom during ...

Potential of cooperative information for vertical handover decision algorithms

16th International IEEE Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC 2013), 2013
In the near term, vehicles will be connected with each other and to centralized off-board servers to provide automotive services. In this paper we analyze existing heterogeneous network selection algorithms. It is shown that the developed algorithm for network selection with additional cooperative information is well suited to improve the handover ...

Interlayer cooling potential in vertically integrated packages

Microsystem Technologies, 2008
The heat-removal capability of area-interconnect-compatible interlayer cooling in vertically integrated, high-performance chip stacks was characterized with de-ionized water as coolant. Correlation-based predictions and computational fluid dynamic modeling of cross-flow heat-removal structures show that the coolant temperature increase due to sensible ...

Calculation of vertical ionization potentials by configuration interaction

Chemical Physics Letters, 1978
Abstract The ionization potentials of H 2 O, N 2 , C 2 H 2 , and HCN were calculated by frozen-orbital configuration interaction using doouble-zeta and double-zeta plus polarization functions basis sets. The results are compared to the observed values and to those from Rayleigh—Schrodinger perturbation theory.

The gravitational potential and its vertical derivatives

Geofisica pura e applicata, 1959
The vertical gradient of gravitational field is derived by a corollary ofGreen's theorem from the gravitational potential. For the solving of the integral defined the vertical gradient is given a simple approximation. For practical computation are presented the numerical values of coefficients.

Vertical potential gradients and electric fields

1996
Let us look at the Dictionnaire des Physique, Paris, 1905 for what was at that moment the understanding of atmospheric electrical phenomena and especially that of the earth’s electric field. This work states that there is an electric field near the ground.

Potential vertical transmission: The case of Norovirus

2013
Mouse Norovirus was !rst described in 2003 and it is now one of the most prevalent viral pathogen in rodent animal facilities. We report a natural infection of murine Norovirus in immunocompetent C57BL/6N and immunode!cient athymic Nude-nu (nu/nu) mice.
