Geometrically nonlinear analysis of thin-walled composite box beams [PDF]
A general geometrically nonlinear model for thin-walled composite space beams with arbitrary lay-ups under various types of loadings has been presented by using variational formulation based on the classical lamination theory.

Experimental Tests Of A Vertical-Axis Wind Turbine With Twisted Blades
An experimental campaign of measurements for a Darrieus vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT) is presented for open field conditions. The turbine is characterized by a twisted bladed design, each blade being placed at a fixed distance from the rotational shaft. The experimental setup to perform the acquisitions is described.

[001]‐oriented Sb2Se3 film with improved crystallinity and adjusted composition is achieved via a new thermal treatment approach consisting of preliminary annealing of the Sb layer before its selenization. The findings of this work demonstrate enhanced charge carriers' transportation, a stable performance, and an improvement of H2 generation from ...

Refinements of Miller's Algorithm over Weierstrass Curves Revisited
In 1986 Victor Miller described an algorithm for computing the Weil pairing in his unpublished manuscript. This algorithm has then become the core of all pairing-based cryptosystems. Many improvements of the algorithm have been presented.

Time-Delay Multiplexing of Two Beams in a Terahertz Imaging Radar [PDF]
We demonstrate a time-delay multiplexing technique that doubles the frame rate of a 660–690-GHz imaging radar with minimal additional instrument complexity.

Low‐Symmetry Weyl Semimetals: A Path to Ideal Topological States
This study presents a theoretical framework for realizing ideal Weyl semimetals, where Weyl nodes are well‐isolated at the Fermi level. The approach is exemplified in the low‐symmetry material Cu2SnSe3, which exhibits tunable topological phases, current‐induced orbital magnetization, and a strong circular photogalvanic effect, making it a promising ...

A study on safety against derailment of twisted track based on EN 14363 standard
When a railway vehicle is running on the track, it is inevitable that it will pass through the twisted track caused by factors such as track superelevation, twist warp, rail gaps, turnouts and geometric irregularity of track.

Categorified sl(N) invariants of colored rational tangles
We use categorical skew Howe duality to find recursion rules that compute categorified sl(N) invariants of rational tangles colored by exterior powers of the standard representation.

Twists of opposite handedness on a scroll wave [PDF]
The dynamic interaction of scroll waves in the Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction with a vertically orientated gradient of excitability is studied by optical tomography. This study focuses on scroll waves, whose filaments were oriented almost perpendicular to

Stability for the vertical rotation interval of twist mappings
In this paper we consider twist mappings of the torus, $\overline{T}: T^2\rightarrow T^2,$ and their vertical rotation intervals $\rho _V( T)=[\rho _V^{-},\rho _V^{+}],$ which are closed intervals such that for any $\omega \in ]\rho _V^{-},\rho _V^{+}$[ there exists a compact $ \overline{T}$-invariant set $\overline{Q}_\omega $ with $\rho _V ...
