Very High Cycle Fatigue (VHCF) of Composite Materials: Simulations and Experimental Validation

open access: yes
[EN] This thesis presents the design, modeling, and experimental validation of a composite specimen for Very High Cycle Fatigue (VHCF) testing under biaxial ultrasonic loading. A cruciform geometry was selected to enable in-plane multiaxial excitation at resonance, using a quasi-isotropic GFRP laminate manufactured from unidirectional prepreg.

Influence of sample geometry on the results in Very High Cycle Fatigue (VHCF) : A focus on Ti-6Al-4V

open access: yes
The purpose of this master thesis is to see how sensitive the fatigue life is to the geometry of the specimen in Very High Cycle Fatigue, VHCF. This includes the effect of the hole having an offset from the specimen centerline. The goal of this study is to produce our own specimens and later test them to see if there is any difference between those ...
