Investigating the Effect of Several Model Configurations on the Transient Response of Gas-Insulated Substation during Fault Events Using an Electromagnetic Field Theory Approach [PDF]
Assessment of very fast transient overvoltage (VFTO) requires good knowledge of the behavior of gas-insulated substation when subjected to very high frequencies.

Modelling and validation of metal oxide surge arrester for very fast transients
Metal oxide surge arrester models that are currently on rounds suffer from certain deficiencies and as a consequence, they are not in position to portray accurately the arrester residual voltages.

Restrike characteristics of vacuum circuit breaker in its opening process under DC voltage
In this paper, a withstand voltage test platform of 40.5‐kV vacuum circuit breaker was established to obtain the effects of the contact spacing and loop and inrush currents of vacuum circuit breaker on the number of restrike, the wavefront steepness of the breakdown voltage, and the breakdown duration.

A low‐cost and high‐performance self‐trigger method for high‐voltage transient measurement
Abstract Stable triggering of acquisition devices is critical to accurately measure electromagnetic transients, especially for very fast transient overvoltages (VFTOs). A highly stable and low‐cos t self‐trigger method for transient measurement is proposed.

Abstract The collectors of electronic transformers has the problem of electromagnetic incompatibility under the operation of disconnecting switches, which limits their wide application in smart grids. To evaluate the maximum level of disturbance that collectors are able to withstand in the stochastic process of switching operation, this work introduces
