Viscoelastic deformation near active plate boundaries [PDF]
Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) now has the capacity to monitor geodetic positions with precisions of a few 1 mm over continental baselines. For tectonic applications, one of the major products of the VLBI program is the determination of the ...

Lessons from the apparent peculiar nature of the star TYC 6544‐3483‐1
Abstract We report a radio and optical study of the star TYC 6544‐3483‐1 originally selected as a follow‐up target in the course of our efforts to cross‐identify Galactic high‐energy sources. The star by itself finally turned out to be a very ordinary main‐sequence star despite the initial expectations that apparently pointed to the contrary.

Investigating a continental Australian VGOS VLBI intensive for UT1-UTC determination
In this simulation study, we investigate the potential performance of VLBI Intensives using the AuScope 12-metre VLBI network. This continental Australian network consisting of three stations, has recently been fully upgraded with VGOS receivers and has ...

Submicrosecond comparison of international clock synchronization by VLBI and the NTS satellite [PDF]
The intercontinental clock synchronization capabilities of Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) and the Navigation Technology Satellite (NTS) were compared using both methods to synchronize the Cesium clocks at the NASA Deep Space Net complexes at ...

The First Very Long Baseline Interferometric SETI Experiment
The first Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) conducted with Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) is presented. By consideration of the basic principles of interferometry, we show that VLBI is efficient at discriminating between SETI ...

Cross‐Polarization Gain Calibration of Linearly Polarized VLBI Antennas by Observations of 4C 39.25
Abstract Radio telescopes with dual linearly polarized feeds regularly participate in Very Long Baseline Interferometry. One example is the VLBI Global Observing System (VGOS), which is employed for high‐precision geodesy and astrometry. In order to achieve the maximum signal‐to‐noise ratio, the visibilities of all four polarization products are ...

The L-/C-band feed design for the DSS 14 70-meter antenna (Phobos mission) [PDF]
A dual-frequency (1.668 and 5.01 GHz) feed was designed for the Deep Space Station (DSS) 14 70-m antenna to support the Soviet Phobos Mission. This antenna system was capable of supporting telemetry, two-way Doppler, and very long baseline interferometry

Searching for coronal radio emission from protostars using Very-Long-Baseline Interferometry
In order to directly study the role of magnetic fields in the immediate vicinity of protostars, we use Very-Long-Baseline Interferometry (VLBI), aiming at the detection of non-thermal centimetric radio emission.

Cosmology with Gravitational Waves: A Review
The review gives an overview of the most recent advances in gravitational‐wave (GWs) cosmology. After an in‐depth discussion of methodologies and tools for GW cosmology, it presents the latest results on measurements of standard cosmological parameters from the LIGO, Virgo, and KAGRA detections.
