BCG‐Derived Outer Membrane Vesicles Induce TLR2‐Dependent Trained Immunity to Protect Against Polymicrobial Sepsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
B‐OMVs, nanoscale vesicles derived from BCG, are identified as effective and safe inducers of trained immunity that protect against sepsis. Through TLR2‐mediated metabolic and epigenetic reprogramming of hematopoietic stem cells, B‐OMVs enhance inflammatory response and phagocytic activity.

Methylation at CPT1A locus is associated with lipoprotein subfraction profiles[S]

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2014
Lipoprotein subfractions help discriminate cardiometabolic disease risk. Genetic loci validated as associating with lipoprotein measures do not account for a large proportion of the individual variation in lipoprotein measures.

Bacterial Foreignization Nanosystem Elicits Multi‐Phenotypic T Cells for Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, a comprehensive strategy for tumor immunogenicity reshaping is implemented, in which all adjuvanticity, antigenicity, and reactogenicity of tumor cells are highly improved by an engineered bacterial nanosystem through a selective membrane fusion process. The resulting foreignized tumor cells evoke potent innate immune responses, inducing

The hepatic uptake of VLDL in lrp−ldlr−/−vldlr−/− mice is regulated by LPL activity and involves proteoglycans and SR-BI

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2008
LPL activity plays an important role in preceding the VLDL remnant clearance via the three major apolipoprotein E (apoE)-recognizing receptors: the LDL receptor (LDLr), LDL receptor-related protein (LRP), and VLDL receptor (VLDLr).

Unveiling Macrophage Content as a Predictive Biomarker for Intraoperative ICG Imaging Efficacy in Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Indocyanine Green (ICG)‐guided lung cancer surgery efficacy varies significantly among patients. This study identifies tumor macrophage content as a predictive biomarker. Macrophages are primary ICG reservoirs, storing seven‐fold more ICG than cancer cells.

Utilization of ascites plasma very low density lipoprotein triglycerides by Ehrlich cells

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1974
Much of the lipid present in the ascites plasma in which Ehrlich cells grow is contained in very low density lipoproteins (VLDL). Chemical measurements indicated that triglycerides were taken up by the cells during in vitro incubation with ascites VLDL ...
