Effect of kelussia odoratissima mozaffarian on lipid and glucose profile [PDF]
Background: Flavonoids are a group of polyphenolic compounds with antioxidant properties that help reduce cardiovascular risk factors. Kelussia odoratissima is a flavonoid-containing plant, the effect of which was analyzed on decreasing blood lipid ...

ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness with potential life‐threatening crises. Timely interventions may be delayed by limited access to care and fragmented documentation. Our objective was to develop predictive algorithms for MG deterioration using multimodal telemedicine data ...

A comparison of anion-exchange and steric-exclusion HPLC assays of mouse plasma lipoproteins
We compared two HPLC methods (anion exchange [AE] and steric exclusion [SE]) for analysis of mouse lipoprotein profiles by determining coefficients of variability (CVs) under varying conditions. CVs for AE and SE were comparable on fresh samples.

Lipoprotein glomerulopathy treated with LDL-apheresis (Heparin-induced Extracorporeal Lipoprotein Precipitation system): a case report. [PDF]
INTRODUCTION: Lipoprotein glomerulopathy is a glomerulonephritis which was described for the first time by Saito in 1989 and is currently acknowledged as a separate nosological entity.

Objective Reports have linked both high and low serum uric acid (SUA) levels to adverse health outcomes. This study aimed to establish a reference interval for SUA in older adults and assessed its association with clinically relevant outcomes in relatively healthy, community‐dwelling individuals aged ≥70 years old.

Apolipoprotein B and triacylglycerol secretion in human triacylglycerol hydrolase transgenic mice
Apolipoprotein B (apoB)-containing lipoproteins play a critical role in whole body lipid homeostasis and the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. The assembly of hepatic apoB-containing lipoproteins, VLDL, is governed by the availability of lipids, including

Immunochemical studies on human plasma lipoproteins [PDF]
Some years ago, a series of human serum lipoproteins, distinguishable by their hydrated densities and lipid-protein ratios were recognized and isolated by ultracentrifugal techniques (1).

Objective We assessed whether circulating adipokines are associated with incident fractures in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods Three adipokines (adiponectin, leptin, and fibroblast growth factor [FGF]‐21) were measured using banked enrollment serum from participants in a longitudinal RA cohort.
