Virtual Contrast for Coronary Vessels Based on Level Set Generated Subvoxel Accurate Centerlines

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biomedical Imaging, 2006
We present a tool for tracking coronary vessels in MRI scans of the human heart to aid in the screening of heart diseases. The vessels are identified through a single click inside each vessel present in a standard orthogonal view.

Common Signatures of Altered Gene Regulation and Invasiveness of Different Breast Cancer Cell Lines after Matrix Interface Crossing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Interface transmigration reprograms triple‐negative breast cancer cells, triggering a shared switch toward more aggressive and invasive phenotypes. Using a collagen I interface model, this study identifies shared transcriptional changes involving proliferation, chromatin remodeling, and DNA repair pathways.

Edge Computing Approach for Vessel Monitoring System

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
A vessel monitoring system (VMS) is responsible for real-time vessel movement tracking. At sea, most of the tracking systems use satellite communications, which have high associated costs. This leads to a less frequent transmission of data, which reduces

One‐Step Microfluidic Manufactured Fucose‐Decorated Sweetosomes Choose the Time and the Road for Their Intracellular Journey to Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Sweetosomes, a new class of fucose‐decorated liposomes, are developed via a one‐step microfluidic process without surface chemistry. This study elucidates their main caveolae‐mediated entry and distinct endosomal trafficking. These nanostructures demonstrate superior endosomal escape, organelle acidity modulation, and prolonged plasma persistence ...

Joint feature representation optimization and anti-occlusion for robust multi-vessel tracking in inland waterways

open access: yesComplex & Intelligent Systems
Multiple vessel tracking plays a vital role in maritime surveillance systems. Previous studies have typically integrated object detection and trajectory association techniques to address this problem, but they still face some significant challenges.
