Development of Multichannel Vestibular Prosthesis for Treatment of Bilateral Vestibular Deficiency

open access: yesKorean Journal of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, 2013

Acute Inner Ear Complications of Stapes Surgery: Value of Delayed Postcontrast 3D‐FLAIR MRI Sequences [PDF]

open access: yesOTO Open
Objective To describe and assess the usefulness of delayed postcontrast three‐dimensional fluid‐attenuated inversion recovery (3D‐FLAIR) sequences on 3‐Tesla (3 T) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients presenting with acute inner ear complications

An Electronic Prosthesis Mimicking the Dynamic Vestibular Function [PDF]

open access: yesAudiology and Neurotology, 2006
This paper presents a functional architecture, system level design, and electronic evaluation of a unilateral vestibular prosthesis. The sensing unit of the prosthesis is a custom-designed one-axis microelectromechanical system (MEMS) gyroscope.

A Virtual Inner Ear Model Selects Ramped Pulse Shapes for Vestibular Afferent Stimulation

open access: yesBioengineering, 2023
Bilateral vestibular deficiency (BVD) results in chronic dizziness, blurry vision when moving the head, and postural instability. Vestibular prostheses (VPs) show promise as a treatment, but the VP-restored vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) gain in human ...
