The Effect of Sleep Deprivation on the Vestibulo-Ocular Reflex and Vestibular Adaptation in Healthcare Night-Shift Workers. [PDF]

open access: hybridLaryngoscope
This study examined the effects of sleep deprivation on the vestibulo‐ocular reflex (VOR) in healthcare night‐shift workers. Results showed a significant reduction in VOR gain (7.5%) during passive head movements toward far targets after a night shift, whereas other VOR functions and gaze stability remained unaffected.

Evaluation of the vestibulo-ocular reflex in patients with chronic otitis media

open access: goldBrazilian Journal of Otorhinolaryngology, 2022

Image Stabilization in Central Vision Loss: The Horizontal Vestibulo-Ocular Reflex [PDF]

open access: goldVision, 2018
For patients with central vision loss and controls with normal vision, we examined the horizontal vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR) in complete darkness and in the light when enhanced by vision (VVOR).

Comparison of Asymmetry between Perceptual, Ocular, and Postural Vestibular Screening Tests

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2023
Background: A better understanding of how vestibular asymmetry manifests across tests is important due to its potential implications for balance dysfunction, motion sickness susceptibility, and adaptation to new environments.
