Nitrogen Compounds from Haitian Vetiver Oil

Journal of Essential Oil Research, 2005
Abstract Nitrogen containing compounds of vetiver oil, Vetiveria zizanioides (L.) Nash, have been investigated and 33 components identified by capillary GC and GC/MS. These include substituted pyridines, pyrazines and indolines; only four of which have previously been reported as occurring in vetiver oil.

LCA of bioethanol and furfural production from vetiver

Bioresource Technology, 2015
In this study a prospective life cycle assessment of biorefinery system from vetiver leaves was carried out to know the environmental benefits of this system over conventional systems considering the geographical context of India. The composition of vetiver leaves from the experimental analysis revealed that vetiver is rich in cellulose (32.6 ...

Vetiver oil production correlates with early root growth

Biochemical Systematics and Ecology, 2006
To gain insight into essential oil metabolism we analyzed the oil produced in Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides (L.) Nash) roots during early growth. Planting of Vetiver in the Campania region of southern Italy was performed in the spring using Vetiver culms with short roots and approximately 20 cm leaves.

The Testing of Several Formulations of Vetiver (Vetiver zizanioides) On the Mortality of Rice Weevils (Sitophilus oryzae)

Proceeding International Collaborative Conference on Multidisciplinary Science
Rice stored in households often does not meet good agricultural product storage standards. Problems arise when products are stored in unsuitable containers, making them more susceptible to insect infestation. Pest insects that cause damage to the quality and quantity of rice can easily reduce rice quality.
