Finger thermometry in the assessment of subjects with vibration-induced white finger.
The measurement of finger skin temperature (FST) is one of the most commonly used methods for evaluating the response of the digital vessels to cold stimulation. In well-controlled experiments a significant correlation has been observed between FST and digital blood flow over a wide range of water temperatures. On the contrary, FST in air is considered

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.

Vibration-induced White Finger and Auditory Susceptibility to Noise Exposure
It is well known that there are wide individual variations in the susceptibility of human hearing to noise exposure. The hearing of male forest workers were examined with vibration-induced white finger (VWF) as an indicator of noise susceptibility of hearing. The results were as follows: 1.

We develop a covalent organic framework‐loaded Traditional Chinese Medicine monomer nanodrug delivery system (ISL@bCOF) via boron‐oxygen bonds, a smart response to glucose for delivering AI‐driven isoliquiritigenin (ISL) targeting ZBP1. This dynamic release mechanism, combined with transdermal delivery technology via potent microneedles, can modulate ...

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...

VIBRATION-INDUCED WHITE FINGER AS A RISK FACTOR FOR HEARING LOSS AND POSTURAL INSTABILITY [PDF]
1994-05Effect of vibration-induced white finger (VWF) on the hearing was examined in 289 Japanese forest workers. From 51 subjects suffering from VWF and 228 with no history of VWF, 37 pairs were formed, matched for age and hours of noise exposure.
