Backbone Heterojunction Photocatalysts for Efficient Sacrificial Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, a ‘single‐component’ organic semiconductor photocatalyst is presented in which a molecular donor is bonded to a polymer acceptor. The resultant material demonstrates exceptional photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution in aqueous triethylamine with an outstanding external quantum efficiency of 38% at 420 nm.

Design and analysis of an active-controlled hydraulic low-frequency vibration isolator

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2018
This study proposes an active-controlled hydraulic low-frequency vibration isolator. The vibration isolator can achieve large equivalent mass and quasi-zero dynamic stiffness by combining the fluid inerter with the hydraulic active compensation.

Miniature Nanomesh Mechano‐Acoustic Sensor with Wide Linear Dynamic Range, Broad Bandwidth, and Flat Frequency Response

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A miniaturized mechano‐acoustic sensor is developed using an electrospun PVDF nanomesh as the diaphragm in a capacitive sensor structure. Unlike conventional nanomesh‐based sensors, it achieves high linear sensitivity, a broad and flat frequency response, and a compact form factor.

Study on the Load-Adaptive Control Method of Quasizero Stiffness Vibration Isolator Based on the Semi-Analytical Solution

open access: yesShock and Vibration
For the quasizero stiffness (QZS) isolators, the mismatch between the stiffness and the load will significantly impact the vibration isolation performance, greatly reducing the isolation efficiency and complicating the load motion.

GeAl2‐2xFe2xO3(OH)4 Nanotubes: New Electrocatalyst for Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fe‐doped imogolite nanotubes are synthesized via a one‐step hydrothermal method with varying Fe substitution ratios x. Structural and spectroscopic analyses confirm homogeneous Fe incorporation while preserving tubular shape. Optimal doping at x = 0.05 enhances optical absorption, narrows band gap, reduces charge transfer resistance, and significantly ...

Tailoring the Properties of Functional Materials With N‐Oxides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The properties of materials bearing N‐oxide groups are often dominated by the polar N+─O− bond. It provides hydrophilicity, selective ion‐binding, electric conductivity, or antifouling properties. Many of the underlying mechanisms have only recently been discovered, and the interest in N‐oxide materials is rapidly growing.
