A compact photoelectric measurement system for harmonic vibrating table

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
A compact measurement system for harmonic vibration based on photoelectric array is proposed. Cooperating with a planar reflective mirror, which is fixed on the measured vibrating table, the photoelectric array outputs a vibration-sensitive signal ...

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...

Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.

Vibration Measurement of an Unbalanced Metallic Shaft Using Electrostatic Sensors

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2019
Vibration measurement of a rotary shaft is essential for the diagnosis and prognosis of industrial rotating machinery. However, the imbalance of a shaft, as quantified through vibration displacement, is the most common cause of machine vibration.

Unlocking the Power of Quercetin‐Encapsulated Mesoporous Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles: A Multifunctional Approach to Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBGNs) are investigated for bone regeneration given their remarkable structural and functional properties. MBGNs are functionalized with Mn and Cu and incorporated with quercetin, a natural flavonoid exhibiting antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.
