How and where the brain forms associations between sensation and action are crucial questions in the field of cognitive neuroscience. In this issue of Neuron, add to an already impressive body of work elucidating the neural mechanisms responsible for forming categorical decisions about vibrotactile stimuli that guide behavior.

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

A Novel Aerodynamic Force and Flutter of the High-Aspect-Ratio Cantilever Plate in Subsonic Flow
This paper focuses on the derivation of the aerodynamic force for the cantilever plate in subsonic flow. For the first time, a new analytical expression of the quasi-steady aerodynamic force related to the velocity and the deformation for the high-aspect-

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Molecular Dynamic Simulation of Defective Graphene Nanoribbons for Tension and Vibration
As deformation and defects are inevitable during the manufacture and service of graphene resonators, comprehensive molecular dynamic (MD) simulations are performed to investigate the vibrational properties of the defective single-layer graphene sheets ...

Complementary vibrational spectroscopy [PDF]
AbstractVibrational spectroscopy, comprised of infrared absorption and Raman scattering spectroscopy, is widely used for label-free optical sensing and imaging in various scientific and industrial fields. The two molecular spectroscopy methods are sensitive to different types of vibrations and provide complementary vibrational spectra, but obtaining ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐
