Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

A new portable vibrator for plaster pouring: effect on the marginal fit at cylinder-abutment

open access: yesJournal of Applied Oral Science, 2012
OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to test a new portable vibrator for plaster pouring (developed for this purpose), comparing the effect of its use on the accuracy of working cast of implant-supported restorations to the conventional vibrator ...

Magnetostriction Vibrator for Ultrasonic Engraving [PDF]

open access: yes
Recently a new process which can shape complicated forms in difficult-to-machine materials, by using light pressure, abrassive particles and ultsasonic vibration, has been developed.

Analyses of vibrator performance using long and short sweeps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
There appears to be a growing interest in improving subsurface seismic imaging by increasing spatial sampling as a result of increased receiver and/or source density.

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Application of thin-wire integral representations of the electromagnetic field to the electrodynamic analysis of vibrator antennas with a large cross-section

open access: yesФизика волновых процессов и радиотехнические системы, 2017
The article considers the construction of mathematical models of vibrator antennas with a large cross-section on the basis of thin-wire integral representations of the electromagnetic field.

A seismic vertical vibrator driven by linear motors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we present a newly developed vertical seismic vibrator driven by linear motors. We explain the different components the vibrator consists of. We show that the harmonic distortion of the linear-motor vibrator signal is very small.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
