The extension of the taxon cycle model to island plants: insights from the Canarian vascular flora
ABSTRACT Taxon cycle models describe eco‐evolutionary patterns of lineage colonization, diversification, and decline across archipelagos, inferring an important role for competition amongst ecologically similar taxa in driving concurrent niche changes.

Alpine flora of Kashmir Himalaya: floristic assessment, life history traits and threat status
Alpine ecosystems in the Himalaya are considered to be at a higher risk to anthropogenic global change drivers. The Kashmir Himalaya, located in the north‐western side of the Himalayan biodiversity hotspot, harbors a diverse alpine flora, which remains systematically little investigated.

Physical and Biochemical Properties of Chan (Hyptis suaveolens (L.) Poit) Seeds Grown in Different Locations [PDF]
Physical properties of the chan seeds were determined and correlated with each other. The Pearson correlation coefficient determined the relationship between the parameters studied. Physicochemical properties of chan seeds were evaluated, determining proteins, fatty acids (linoleic acid oleic acid), and crude fiber.

Understanding the dietary patterns of apex predator like the common leopard Panthera pardus is essential for evaluating their ecological role, particularly in landscapes where human–wildlife conflict is prevalent. In this context, this study investigates the seasonal diet composition of the common leopard in and around the Bani Wildlife Sanctuary, a ...

Quantifying microhabitat selection of snowshoe hares using forest metrics from UAS‐based LiDAR
Identifying the spatial and temporal scale at which animals select resources is critical for predicting how populations respond to changes in the environment. The spatial distribution of fine‐scale resources (e.g. patches of dense vegetation) are often linked with critical life‐history requirements such as denning and feeding sites.
