American Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
TECPR2 is a key regulator of autophagy, encoded by the TECPR2 gene. Pathogenic variants in this gene have been linked to a rare hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy with intellectual disability (HSAN9). We report a teenage female with a syndromic intellectual disability disorder associated with neuromuscular abnormalities.Teresa Zhao, Andrew P. Fennell, Tanavi Sharma, Katrina M. American Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
Autosomal recessive HARS1‐related disorder (originally described as Usher syndrome type 3B) caused by a homozygous Y454S variant in the histidyl‐tRNA synthetase gene (HARS1) is characterized by progressive sensorineural hearing and vision loss and respiratory deterioration with risk for sudden death following febrile illnesses.Victoria Mok Siu, Rosan Kenana, Rana Chakrabarti, Sarah D. American Journal of Medical Genetics Part C: Seminars in Medical Genetics, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC) is a group of rare congenital conditions, characterized by multiple joint contractures but may involve any body system including central nervous system. AMC is etiologically heterogeneous, with over 400 genetic and many non‐genetic causes implicated in its prenatal development.Shahrzad Nematollahi, Noa Bouzaglo, Victoria Castillo Sanchez, Johanna I.
