Accurate hydrological modeling is essential for managing water resources under climate change, especially in regions like the Iberian Peninsula (IP), characterized by diverse hydroclimatic conditions. This study aims to enhance regional hydrological simulation performance across the IP by optimizing the configuration of the Noah Land Surface Model with

Sub‐Nanometer Curvature Unlocks Quantum Orbital Flexoelectricity in Graphene
In self‐assembled, reproducible, large‐area, quasi‐pristine graphene nanowrinkles, extreme curvature forces out‐of‐plane π‐electrons toward hybridization, driving a transition from classical to quantum orbital flexoelectricity. As curvature approaches the fundamental physical limit set by the C─C bond length, the resulting polarization increases by ...

Gapless Superconductivity From Extremely Dilute Magnetic Disorder in 2H‐NbSe2‐xSx
We demonstrate that 2H‐NbSe2‐xSx hosts gapless superconductivity at unexpectedly low magnetic impurity concentrations. Combining STM, Bogoliubovde Gennes simulations, DFT, and quasiparticle interference, we comprehensively study the development of gapless behavior and show that SeS substitution reshapes the band structure, enhances nesting, and drives ...

Improving runoff simulation in the Western United States with Noah-MP and VIC models
Abstract. Streamflow predictions are critical for managing water resources and for environmental conservation, especially in the water-short Western United States. Land surface models (LSMs), such as the variable infiltration capacity (VIC) model and the Noah LSM with multiparameterization options (Noah-MP), play an essential role in providing ...

A Geometrically Transient Platform for Bioelectronic Implants
Minimally invasive bioelectronic implants often compromise performance for smaller sizes. To resolve this optimization dilemma, a wireless bioelectronic implant with a transient geometry is introduced (MiFi). The origami‐inspired device miniaturizes up to sixfold for syringe insertion and autonomously unfolds post‐implantation.

Cancer‐associated NPC remodeling creates a high‐flux, low‐stringency nuclear state that supports malignant adaptation but increases mechanical fragility. Targeting the FG‐barrier or NPC scaffold may drive mechanostat failure, envelope rupture, DNA damage, and loss of nuclear integrity.
