A collaborated framework to improve hydrologic ecosystem services management with sparse data in a semi-arid basin

open access: yesHydrology Research, 2021
Applying various models to assess hydrologic ecosystem services (HESs) management has the potential to encourage efficient water resources allocation. However, can a single model designed on these principles be practical to carry out hydrologic ecosystem

An Improved Cellular Automaton Traffic Model Based on STCA Model Considering Variable Direction Lanes in I-VICS [PDF]

open access: yesSustainability, 2021
In this paper, we propose an improved cellular automaton model for the traffic operation characteristics of variable direction lanes in an Intelligent Vehicle Infrastructure Cooperation System (I-VICS). According to the proposed flow of variable oriented lane operation in the I-VICS environment, the idea for the improved model has been determined ...

Three-Dimensional Bioprinting of Ovine Aortic Valve Endothelial and Interstitial Cells for the Development of Multicellular Tissue Engineered Tissue Constructs

open access: yesBioengineering, 2023
To investigate the pathogenic mechanisms of calcified aortic valve disease (CAVD), it is necessary to develop a new three-dimensional model that contains valvular interstitial cells (VIC) and valvular endothelial cells (VEC).

Runoff simulation of Mengjiang River Basin based on distributed hydrological model [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
A distributed hydrological model is an essential tool for simulating hydrological processes and managing water resources. This study applied a distributed hydrological model—Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC) model for the Mengjiang River Basin, using ...

Role of climate forecasts and initial conditions in developing streamflow and soil moisture forecasts in a rainfall–runoff regime [PDF]

open access: yesHydrology and Earth System Sciences, 2013
Skillful seasonal streamflow forecasts obtained from climate and land surface conditions could significantly improve water and energy management. Since climate forecasts are updated on a monthly basis, we evaluate the potential in developing operational ...

AN EVALUATION METHOD OF VICS USING MULTIPLE USER STOCHASTIC EQUILIBRIUM MODEL

open access: yesDoboku Gakkai Ronbunshu, 2002

Using a Gridded Global Dataset to Characterize Regional Hydroclimate in Central Chile [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Central Chile is facing dramatic projections of climate change, with a consensus for declining precipitation, negatively affecting hydropower generation and irrigated agriculture. Rising from sea level to 6000 m within a distance of 200 km, precipitation
