Assessment of HISUI radiometric performance using vicarious calibration and cross-calibration
2015 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2015The Hyperspectral Imager Suite (HISUI) is a future hyper-spectral and multispectral sensor developed by Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI). Radiometric calibration of satellite sensor system is very important for the higher level products with high quality.

Vicarious Cold Calibration for Conical Scanning Microwave Imagers
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2017Vicarious cold calibration (VCC) for spaceborne microwave radiometers is analyzed and modified for application to conical scanning microwave imagers at frequencies from 6 to 90 GHz. The details of the algorithm are modified to account for additional frequencies and polarizations that were not included in the development of the original algorithm.

Compositional characterisation of the pinnacles vicarious calibration site
2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017Earth Observation (EO) satellite data are the single most important and richest source of environmental information for Australia. It is expected that future imaging spectroscopy satellites will be important for Australia for accessing critical information for managing natural and non-renewable resources, such as dry plant matter and mineralogy, which ...

Vicarious calibration of Terra ASTER, MISR, and MODIS
SPIE Proceedings, 2004The Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection and Radiometer (ASTER), Multi-angle Imaging Spectroradiometer (MISR) and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) are all onboard the Terra platform. An important aspect of the use of MODIS, and other Earth Science Enterprise sensors, has been the characterization and calibration of ...

Preflight and Vicarious Calibration of Hyperspectral Imagers
2007Abstract : We developed a calibration plan for a hyperspectral sensor and then designed, built, and calibrated three major instruments to support such calibrations. The instruments included two transfer radiometers, one covering the visible and near infrared using a silicon detector, and another covering the short-wave infrared using a cooled InGaAs ...
