Decoding Triphenotypic Neutrophils in Cervical Cancer Evolution and Targeting SPP1+/GBP1+/ELOVL5+ Tumor‐Associated Neutrophils to Sensitize Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The functional schematic diagram of tumor associated neutrophils. Abstract Enhancing cervical cancer (CC) immunotherapy requires deciphering the heterogeneous tumor immune microenvironment (TIME), particularly neutrophil phenotypic dynamics. Here, 1) we collected 543 CC cases to find that patients with elevated neutrophil levels have a higher incidence

The Virtues and Vices of Agnosticism

open access: yesPhilosophies
This essay begins with preliminary observations about the nature of agnosticism. Based on the term’s etymology, in this essay an agnostic about some proposition (e.g., God exists) is someone who does not know whether the proposition is true.

Connexin43 Deficiency Leads to Ventricular Arrhythmias by Reprogramming Proline Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study demonstrated that connexin43 (Cx43) knockout caused arrhythmic phenotype and decreased proline content in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, Cx43 interacts with the amino acid transporter SNAT2 (sodium‐dependent neutral amino acid transporter), and its deficiency disrupts proline transport and metabolism.

3D Bioprinted Fat‐Myocardium Model Unravels the Role of Adipocyte Hypertrophy in Atrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A human‐derived 3D bioprinted fat–myocardium model is developed to investigate how adipocyte hypertrophy drives atrial dysfunction in obesity. Palmitate‐induced adipocyte hypertrophy promotes adipose dysfunction that impairs atrial cardiomyocyte metabolism and electrophysiology through both paracrine and direct interactions. This platform recapitulates

Ultrasound Controlled‐Release Hydrogel Promotes Diabetic Wound Healing via Neuroimmune Modulation and Synergistic ROS Scavenging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an ultrasound‐responsive hydrogel (MCF@CA) that co‐delivers a neuropeptide (CGRP) and a ROS‐scavenging manganese porphyrin to diabetic wounds. The system restores neuro‐immune communication, reprograms macrophages toward an anti‐inflammatory phenotype, and clears excess ROS, thereby accelerating wound closure and promoting mature ...

“Yo te castigaré bien commo a loco”. Los reyes en El Conde Lucanor de Juan Manuel

open access: yesE-Spania, 2015
Ce travail étudie la façon dont sont représentés les rois dans El conde Lucanor en insistant sur les différences existantes avec d’autres œuvres antérieures  de Juan Manuel comme le Libro de los estados où l’on brosse le portrait du monarque idéal à ...

Mechanical Overloading‐Induced Nanomineral Crystal Perturbation from the Osteochondral Interface: A Potential Initiator of Osteoarthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

The Virtues and Vices of Equilibrium and the Future of Financial Economics [PDF]

open access: yes
The use of equilibrium models in economics springs from the desire for parsimonious models of economic phenomena that take human reasoning into account. This approach has been the cornerstone of modern economic theory.

4‐Hydroxybenzyl Alcohol Mitigates Hyperlipidemia‐Associated Depression by Inhibiting Neuroinflammation via the NKIRAS2/NF‐κB Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
4‐HBA upregulates NKIRAS2 levels, inhibiting the activation of the NF‐κB pathway and subsequently reducing the levels of neuroinflammatory markers. This modulation helps restore normal mood and behavior in hyperlipidemic conditions, providing a potential therapeutic strategy for managing hyperlipidemia‐associated depression.
