Advances in PEKK Thermoplastic Composites: Reinforcing With MWCNTs and GNPs for Enhanced Performance

open access: yesPolymers for Advanced Technologies, Volume 36, Issue 7, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) is a highly regarded material in polymer science due to its outstanding thermal stability, mechanical strength, and chemical resistance. Despite substantial research on PEKK composites reinforced with CNTs and GNPs, two primary challenges remain: inconsistent glass transition temperature behavior at varying filler ...

Influence of Aluminum on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Air‐Hardened Medium Manganese Steel

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 96, Issue 7, July 2025.
This article investigates the influence of aluminum concentrations on the microstructure and mechanical properties of air‐hardening ductile steels. The reduction of the aluminum contents below 0.5 wt% is unfavorable as it does not ensure sufficient toughness.

Sintering aid effect of La2Zr1.4Ta0.6O7/Li6.4La3Zr1.4Ta0.6O12 nanocomposite in garnet‐type solid‐state electrolyte

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 108, Issue 7, July 2025.
The 120 nm composite nanoparticles of La2Zr1.4Ta0.6O7/Li6.4La3Zr1.4Ta0.6O12 were synthesized via planetary ball milling of Li6.4La3Zr1.4Ta0.6O12 (LLZTO) microparticles followed by annealing under Ar atmosphere at 900°C. Mixing 20 wt% of the composite nanoparticles facilitated densification of LLZTO ceramics and formation of interfaces, resulting in ...
