Experimental Evaluation of a Collagen-coated Vicryl Mesh as a Dural Substitute
Neurosurgery, 1992Dural substitutes must provide immediate restitution of a membranous covering for the brain without inducing any adverse reaction in the host or provoking adhesions to underlying nervous tissues. VICRYL MESH FOR REPAIR OF SEVERELY INJURED KIDNEYS
The Journal of Trauma: Injury, Infection, and Critical Care, 1993We evaluated the efficacy of wrapping the kidney with semi-elastic Vicryl mesh for control of hemorrhage and preservation of renal function following grade III kidney lacerations (shattered kidney) in dogs in which nephrectomy was indicated clinically. Wrapping of fragmented kidneys resulted in prompt, sustained hemostasis and reapposition of the renal

Internal fixation of lateral clavicle fractures with Vicryl tape
European Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery & Traumatology, 2002Six consecutive Neer type II fractures of the lateral end of the clavicle were treated by indirect open reduction and internal fixation using Vicryl tape. All fractures healed within 6-8 weeks after the operation. The pre-injury level of function was restored in all cases.
